Choice IS our only “Commandment”

Someone started a discussion on the MT Group List asking “What would the 10 Commandments look like if written by Michael?”  This triggered a response from me that I didn’t think Michael would have ANY commandments as it would be contrary to their Teachings about choice. Choice is the underlying thrum of all sentience. It’s the heartbeat of the Tao.

Yesterday’s Michael Speaks Live was on the topic of “Imagination: What is it for?“. I recommend a read of the entire transcript; however, here is one quote from it: “In the same way that Imagination is TAO, it is also CHOICE. Therefore, one could say that Imagination is used for Forming Choice, Interpreting Choice, Experiencing Choice, or Comprehending Choice, while Choice, itself, has its influence on each, i.e., you can Choose how to Form a Choice.”

Yet, choice remains one of the single most difficult concepts that we grapple with throughout our lives, and most especially if we work with the Michael Teachings as we are imprinted to not truly believe in it. It’s one of those dichotomies that is part of our cultural heritage, based in large part on the chaos that human beings are capable of creating. We extol choice, freedom of choice, but we counter it with stiff paradigms of controlled behavior, religious demands, and laws. We don’t really trust others to make “good” choices.

Michael has said in hundreds, if not thousands, of answers: All is choice. There are no right or wrong choices. All choices are valid. We are here to choose and to learn how to choose. However, no matter how often we repeat this mantra, it is still assumed that we must control others’ choices as they made some gawdawful ones. This is part of our imprinting and part of the reason for our imprinting.

I read the news as much as many others. I’m well aware of the daily doings of human beings. I’ve also been a history buff; so, I’m also well-aware that there has never been a halcyon time of total peace and harmony. The good old days are a myth. Our very beginnings of being a transported and then “tweaked” species was due to the violence of genocide — an attempt to eradicate our very existence by another “higher” species – i.e., one that was at just about the same average soul age that we are now at. A comparison would be that humans are about at the same level of development as the dominant sentient species was and our earlier selves would compare to Gorillas, the newest ensoulment project.  As the Grand Cycles project shows, not ALL sentient species are violent, but most go through it.

The Caretaker species transported a mere 150 remnant ensouled beings to planet earth, tweaked our DNA to make us compatible to the existing hominids who were nearly ready for ensoulment, worked with the project for about 2,000 years, and then pretty much left us to our own devices for 2 million years. The remnant Caretakers were the first Infinite Soul manifestation to humans about 4 million years ago, but there wasn’t a huge amount of ongoing interaction. And, they returned at about 3 million years, the halfway mark, and did another physical intervention — one that improved humans abilities to walk upright. But, we were left to develop on our own through choice for the most part.

The Caretakers didn’t lay down laws or strictures. They didn’t attempt to control us. They’ve made several appearances to intervene when our species has been on the verge of extinction, to keep the species alive, and to help our evolutionary development. They were the first three Infinite Soul manifestations, and then even that was left to the human Design as it evolved spiritually enough to create its own Transcendental and Infinite Souls from about 1 million years forward. See the thread “6 Million Years — Details, Please.”

There has been no intervention to help us roll through the eons and Soul Age development. The same process of beginning with Life or Personality #1 for an Infant Soul Essence has been part of our development, but it’s always been through choice, the use of imagination, and the steady development through Soul Ages. There have been many Energy Rings that have cycled off. While the entire Design was present at the beginning, not all started incarnating at once. There are no more 1st Level Infant Souls; however, there ARE still quite a few Infant Souls, and most of them will make more rapid progress than the earliest transplants as they have more influences that will bring them more quickly through the Internal Monads (plus, there is a plethora of bodies available now). As a note, the first 7,000 Essences that were part of the transplant project haven’t completely cycled off in large part because part of their tasking is to be here “at the end.” They go through long pauses between incarnating “cycles.” Similarly, there are still many left from the “after transplant” group that began ensoulment on Earth, but were part of a group of about a million Essences active during the first 2 million years.

A full Design is a lot of Essences.

Sentient Structure:
1 Entity = 1000+ Essences (or sparks)
1 Cadre = 7 Entities
1 Ring = 12 Cadres
12 Rings = 1 Sphere
12 Spheres = 1 Arrangement
12 Arrangements = 1 Composition
12 Compositions = 1 Harmony
(up to) 7 Harmonies = 1 Design
1 Design = 1 Entire Sentient Species
1 Harmony = approx. 16,257,024,000

The numbers make it difficult to visualize just how big a sentient design or project is — how long it takes to process all of the Essences through the incarnation cycle, and just how much choice is involved. Baby Souls evolve out of Infant Souls and want order and stability if only for survival. It makes sense. I’ve become quite tolerant of the idea of why we have imprinting, how essential it is to our very survival, but how much we also have to move beyond it in order to continue to evolve. It further makes sense why Young Souls reject so much of that imprinting and go the way of choice. It’s a constant pendulum sweep of back and forth between order and chaos as each Soul Age shines for its own needs for evolution. Mature Souls go back to more stability. Old Souls have finally figured out how to be chaotic but far less destabilizing or violent.

But, the underlying thrum remains choice. Actions we deem to be poor choices have consequences, whether or not supplied by the larger community or balanced through karma and various agreements. Even good choices have consequences. There is much to be gained through living more harmoniously, and even philanthropic karma exists to balance some of the most egregious excesses of the past. Not all karmic ribbons will be burned through a tit-for-tat mirroring experience. Many are burned through life-saving community service, such as those who serve with “Doctors without Borders.” But, Essences learn from all of them — the death and destruction and the life-saving acts of courage and serving.
